Into the Darkness of the Night

It’s finally here—my new album “Into the Darkness of the Night” is now available to purchase! As I wrote earlier, this album meant to be for your quiet nighttime. I hope this will help you sleep better.

The lovely photos are taken by the Tokyo-based photographer Yoichi Onoda, and designed by Ricks Ang. I hope many of you have a chance take a look at the LP and CD—they’re beautifully designed. Thank you for listening!

New Album Announced

It’s my pleasure to announce my second album at Singapore-based KITCHEN. LABEL. It’ll be available in LP, CD as well as digital download. The central theme of this album is sleep. While it’s most mundane part of our daily lives, falling a sleep is a mysterious ritual. The 9 tracks were composed and arranged such a way that a listener goes deeper into sleep as the album progresses.

You many purchase the physical copies directly at bandcamp, or at your local record store.

Roa liv Video

It’s been my pleasure to work with NSSG and Yoichi Onoda to create sound for Roa Liv’s latest promotional video. I made it sound organic and relaxed, just as the brand defines itself. I hope you’ll like it.

New album "In Science and the Human Heart"

It’s such a belated announcement, but I released my latest album from Singapore-based Kitchen Label. It was originally planned for much earlier release but it couldn’t see the light of day due to the COVID-related issues. Find more details here.

Collaboration with IDRA

It’s a kind of delayed notice, but we released a collaborative album with IDRA, a very talented friend of mine based in Milan. We’re really please to see this coming out to the public. Check out my page for details

New Photo Series "#iPhoneonly"

I uploaded some of my iPhone photos I took in the past few years. I’ve been thinking of doing this for a while, since iPhone really helped me discover the joy of photography once again, about ten years ago. There is no way the camera’s quality can be compared with my professional cameras I used in recent years (especially with my medium format film camera). However, this doesn’t mean it doesn’t take good photos. Some say the best camera is one you have all the time. These are the documents of my everyday life, and they mean something special after keeping them inside my digital folder.

New Photo Series "Street on Film"

I’m pleased to announce a new section for my photography page, “Street on Film.” Those who follow me on Instagram already know that I’ve switched to film cameras since the end of 2018, and now extensively use my medium format camera. On this series, I explore ordinary subjects on streets, but I’m planning to add more to this and other preexisting photography sections.
